Who we are
Hela Pesa Salary loan is a credit product advanced to salaried employees who work for organisations that have signed an MOU for the check-off system.
The loan service runs on a mobile App called Hela Pesa, which is available on Google Play Store or on helapesa.co.ke
Hela Pesa Salary Loan is a convenient product designed to address the emergency financial needs of employees between payroll dates. Our clients do not require any security, guarantors or approval from their supervisors. They do not pay any registration fee, nor do they save money with Hela Pesa, for them to get a Hela Pesa salary loan.
Once Hela Pesa receives a client’s application on the APP or portal, they carry out their back-end verification of the employee( KYC). Once the employee qualifies, the money is released through their registered Mpesa number within minutes since our App is integrated with Safaricom Mpesa payment service.
The client chooses his most preferred or practical, or comfortable period of repayment between 1 to 48 months.
The interest rate depends on the period of payment and ranges from 10 -15% per month. An employee has the option to either pay the loan directly on the Hela App through the Mpesa platform or for the employer to recover the payments from his/her payslip on behalf of Hela Pesa on a monthly basis.
